Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal complaints, affecting people of all ages. It can be caused by poor posture, muscle strain, disc issues, or prolonged sitting. While often short-term, it can become chronic if not managed properly. Movement, strengthening the core, and addressing contributing lifestyle factors are key to long-term relief.

Lower back pain can make even simple movements feel difficult and exhausting. I know this personally — after suffering a disc herniation that left me crippled with pain, I was able to recover quickly and fully by applying the right knowledge, treatment, and strategies. Now, I bring that same approach to help you rebuild your body and your confidence.

This six-session course is designed not just to relieve symptoms, but to fix the root cause of your lower back issues — restoring strength, flexibility, and long-term resilience.
Through a personalized blend of osteopathy, targeted strength and conditioning, and yoga-based mobility work, I will guide you through a structured program that addresses the physical imbalances, movement patterns, and lifestyle factors that contribute to pain.

Drawing on my education in nutritional science, my studies in sleep science, and my current training in psychotherapy, I also integrate key lifestyle strategies — because true healing isn’t just about muscles and joints. It’s about treating the whole person: body, mind, and daily habits.

You’ll learn how to become the mechanic of your own body, giving you the knowledge and tools to manage and protect your lower back for life — not just during treatment, but long after.

One day while training I tweaked my back which led me to refrain from any heavy weight training in the hope that it would self heal. Unfortunately this was not the case as on two occasions when I thought my back had come right I would hurt it again doing a basic movement. After a year long period (6 months of no weight training) I decided I had enough and needed to get it seen to. I found Luke online , got an assessment completed and signed up to his program. The program included a lot of stretching and strengthening exercises which I struggled with due to tightness in my lower back and general restricted range of movement. Now 10 weeks on I have a range of movement in my back that I can’t recall ever having. I have gone back to lifting weights 4 times a week and have also incorporated Luke’s stretches and exercises in with my training routine.
